“Begonet”, a Weekly CCRDA Radio Program to Be Aired Soon
The Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA) will launch “Begonet” a weekly radio program on Sheger FM 102.1 on December 4, 2016.
The twenty minutes long program will be transmitted every Sunday from 5:10 PM to 5:30 PM on Sheger FM 102.1. The weekly Amharic radio program, named “Begonet”, translated in English as “goodness”, mainly promotes the good practices of member organizations of CCRDA. Those good practices that won the top ten positions in the CCRDA Good Practice Competition will be given priority. But the good practices of other members that are not among the top ten and the good practices of member organizations that have not participated in the competition will also be introduced by the radio program. CCRDA believes if introduced and promoted, the good practices will be scaled up by various stakeholders such as the government, private investors and similar other NGOs in addition to building the image of the NGO/CSO sector.
“Begonet” also introduces exemplary NGO leaders that made tangible differences in the lives of needy people in the country. Such leaders will share their rich experience to listeners of the program.
Major events of CCRDA and its members will also be aired in the program. Based on the agreement signed with Sheger FM 102.1, the radio program that is produced and transmitted with the fund secured from Bread for the World will be on air for one year. The radio program is also expected to provide useful and relevant information to CCRDA members in particular and all other NGOs/CSOs in general.
